Tour Overview
Tbilisi is Georgia’s vibrant capital, set in a valley along the Kura River and surrounded by hills. It’s a city of contrasts—narrow cobblestone lanes and centuries-old churches coexist with sleek modern bridges and glass buildings. The Old Town is a maze of colorful balconies, ancient fortresses, and sulphur bathhouses, while neighborhoods like Rustaveli Avenue and Fabrika buzz with cafes, galleries, and nightlife. Its position as a historical crossroads between Europe and Asia gives it a rich cultural blend, and it’s also a perfect base for exploring the country’s wine regions and mountains.
Batumi, on the other hand, sits on the Black Sea coast and offers a more relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. Known for its subtropical climate, palm-lined boulevards, and long pebble beaches, Batumi is Georgia’s main seaside destination. The city features a mix of Belle Époque architecture, modern skyscrapers, and whimsical public art, including its famous moving “Ali and Nino” sculpture. The Batumi Boulevard stretches for kilometers along the waterfront, perfect for cycling and evening walks. It’s also close to lush botanical gardens and mountain villages, making it a blend of seaside leisure and natural beauty.
